『Ikki Bando』Bio

His 20 years of Hatha yoga career started in 1995.
He studied under Rudra he is a high named Yogi in Rishikesh in India, and mastered Iyengar system completely.

To study yoga is to live, to live is to study yoga is his motto and he is a yogi who goes to India and studies consistently under Rudra to maintain his level and update.

in this modern society, to help people being flexible and strong,and to maintain their mind calm is a main mission, he created Vaikuntha yoga studio in Okinawa, in 2005. It keeps expanding to all over Japan.
in 2006, hoping to put yoga to daily life as blushing teeth, he invented new style of yoga “ Medical yoga -Vaikuntha yoga”

By using props, safe asanas without injuries based on anatomical study, new method was created in brand new way.

By medical point of view, the way he teaches Hatha yoga safe and effective made him so famous, as he is a teacher in traditional way. He holds workshop in Japan and overseas, and he spends time on his instructor training.
Not only when you practice yoga but every scene in the life is a yoga.
Stillness from Yoga sutra, Chaos in Indian classic stories, he learns every true yoga theory and teaches them to students and even changes their lives with the philosophy.
He also in Nada yoga, sound of yoga, and performs as a musician. He started the electric mantra band Vaikunthas in 2006. They creates indian mantra into the cutting edge dance music, and make spiritual future sound for yoga. For this band, he is a producer and vocalist, collaborates with the musicians all over the world . They release their first album in 2015.

He organized Okinawa Satsang Yoga + Music Festival in 2014, under the theme of “Suggesting a yogic life”. He gives everybody an opportunity to meeting yoga in open space.
His life and activities all based on Yoga always diffused and transmitted to the world.
